Gabriella Torres is a Latinx visual artist and poet living in Iowa. She is the author of two chapbooks, Sister (Lame House Press, 2005) and The Emergence of Brood III (Delere Press, 2014), and is a Pushcart Prize nominee. Her paintings have been featured in British Vogue and House & Garden. Her work is largely informed by her experience of growing up Latinx in the rural Midwest. She is deeply influenced by Midwestern landscapes and wildlife.

Gabriella spent seven years in New York City and six years in Seoul before moving back to her hometown of Clinton, Iowa, in 2015. She is the artist behind GabiBirdArt where she works towards, among other things, developing community-based art initiatives that promote engagement and dialogue and work towards creating a culturally rich, diverse, inclusive, and equitable community.

She is Editor-at-Large for the tiny, a poetry journal that seeks to publish work from a diverse range of emerging and established voices.
